COMMUNITY CENTER OVERVIEW

The Mosque Foundation Community Center (MFCC) is the focal point of interactive social, physical, and spiritual development in the Southwest suburbs. The center is sponsored by the Mosque Foundation and supported by surrounding communities. The MFCC symbolizes the growth, development, and most of all, recognition of an Islamic Community to maintain its vision of having healthy and appealing alternatives for surrounding youth and adult community members.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mosque Foundation Community Center is a service center. Its mission is to build a strong community by offering programs that develop a healthy spirit, mind, and body.
Based on Islamic values, the MFCC is a center that strives to identify and assess the needs of the community in an effort to provide social, educational, spiritual, and recreational programs aimed at developing stronger individuals capable of benefiting their community and society at large.

FACILITY

1ST FLOOR:

Basketball Court: Our basketball court is utilized for three-on-three basketball games, fitness programs, as well as martial arts programs and presentations.
Weight room: The weight room is equipped with treadmills, free weights, bench presses, and ab machines. Jump ropes and other equipment are available upon request.
Game room: Our game room is equipped with pool tables, ping pong tables, and other board games.
Lounge Zone: Our lounge area has a large screen TV, sitting area, a magazine rack, and discussion table. Movie nights are occasionally hosted in our lounge area in addition to homework assistance.

2ND FLOOR:

Presentation Room:  The presentation room seats 120 attendees. The room is utilized for presentations, lectures, and available for booking upon appointment.
Classroom Area: Our classroom area is used for Quran, Islamic Studies, art, and other classes.
Kitchen Area: Our kitchen is used for hot lunches, as well as cooking classes for MFCC attendees.
Blue room: Our blue room is used as a classroom and meeting room.

MFCC MEMBERSHIP COSTS:

Most of the MFCC afterschool programs have a monthly fee of $15/program and $25/ for 2 programs.

 

Other Programs:

  • Saturday School for boys and girls 5-12 years, runs from September to May. Fees are $450/+ $100 registration fee
  • Summer camps

  • Health seminars and screening
  • Flu shots and blood drive campaigns
  • Eid gift drives
  • Camp nights and community BBQs
