Serving Families to Strengthen Community

“Serving Families to Strengthen Communities” was the theme at our Annual Dinner on March 22, 2014 marking a year of programming and services developed to meet the needs of our community families. Hundreds of men, women, and youth gathered to celebrate the Mosque Foundation’s achievements and to pledge their support to the financial health and stability of the Masjid. Without their support, the Mosque’s outstanding programming would be plans with no action. Again, this year, we witness our community’s untiring generosity and firm belief in Allah (SWT)’s words, “ The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah , for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.” (9:18)

After recitation from the Qur’an, our emcee, Vice-President Oussama Jammal welcomed our guests and introduced our President Hussein Ata who thanked the community for their unwavering support and renewed the Mosque Foundation’s pledge to community service and the ever-evolving needs of our families.

Sheikh Jamal Said took the stage and announced the pre-pledged funds and together with Sheikh Kifah Mustapha worked to collect new pledges to fulfill this year’s goal. The program concluded with the recognition of various volunteers with Community Service Awards and Scholarship Awards for community students.

The Mosque Foundation team extends its gratitude to donors who supported our Dinner with any contribution, our sponsors, and our dedicated volunteers.
May Allah (SWT) reward you and may you and your families reap the fruits of your labor in this life and the next
